About

Photos to Albums is the most unique and advanced photo book and album creating app. Yeah! We do realize, everyone says that about their app so it is a little hard to believe. Right?

Okay, let us look further and that should help…

If you wanna take the quick and short route, simply jump to our FEATURES page and you will know that we mean it.

If you are like us, you would agree that photos are memories of our lifetime and memories are forever. So how do you assure that they stay with you all the time? Albums are the most convenient and efficient way to collect these memories but can you carry your albums with you all the time? Moreover, it is not really easy to get prints of all your photos in this digital age. When cameras are digital, the albums should be digital too.

Okay, so we are in agreement so far.. right? Now comes the big question! How Photos to Albums is different from all other album apps available for iPad. Well, we didn’t decide to develop this app overnight. It was a result of frustration we faced when trying to catalogue our photos digitally. We all know, the default photo app from Apple leaves a lot to be desired. So we turned to other third party apps but most of them were actually a joke. It was as if the guys’ who developed the app never actually bothered to create an album with their app.

When we want to create an album, we want flexibility and convenience. The look and feel of the traditional albums but the power of technology! We want to add creativity to our kid’s birthday party album, we want to beautify our wedding shots and we want it to be super easy to catalogue our holiday photos. Alas! There was no single app which will provide this all. So we thought what is it that a general, novice, non-technical user would want in such app.. the result is here.. Photos to Albums!

It will let you manage your photos with tags and folders. Automatically create albums for you based on the EXIF and custom tags, GPS location data, Date and so on. There are countless options to enhance the look and feel of your photos and albums. You can add clip arts, draw on your photos & album pages, add frames, export these albums to high resolution PDF so that it can be printed out. the list goes on and on.

Take a look at features and screenshot page to see what Photos to Albums can offer. If you still have questions and concerns, feel free to write us and we will take it from there!

FAQ

Okay, so what is Photos to Albums?
As you can understand from the name itself, it’s a handy little utility which lets you create digital albums with the power of iOS and convenience of your iPad. But that is not all, Photos to Albums works as a full-fledged photo organization tool in itself. You can manage your photos with tags, folders, EXIF metadata and so on. So in short, it is a photo management tool as well as an album app.
Okay, so do you really think we need another album and photo management app? ain’t there enough of them already?
Actually yes! We do need another album and photo management app. if you are asking this question we assume you have already tried a couple of album apps out there. So now tell us, are you happy with those? Take a look at our features page and screenshots and see the difference for yourself.
What are these two sections on the home screen?
That is the beauty of Photos to Albums. It actually serves dual purpose with a single app. You can organize your photos in folders or with tags or you can organize them in albums. The bottom half is the resource section where you can transfer all your photos and organize them in traditional folder based approach if you don’t want to use albums. The upper half offers all your albums which you can create by manually dragging the photos or automatically with GPS, Rating, Tags, Date range etc.

I keep messing up my album layout by accidentally taping on a photo or text or clip art.
Well, you can lock individual components or the whole page. Simply tap on the lock icon in the properties toolbar in left.
What is this property toolbar?
Apart from standard options in the bottom of album page, there are additional options available for photos, cliparts or text layers. Simply tap on an element and you will see an array of buttons in the left bar. These are additional tools which will let you control the opacity, add shadows, frames etc. to these elements.
How do I mark a photo as favorite?
Just below the rating stars, you will see heart icons. Tap on those to mark a photo as favorite. Optionally you can do it in the full screen mode as well.
I want to rename a photo. Any clues?
Double tap on the photo to open it in full screen. Tap on the info icon in bottom and there we are.
I don’t see the actual date of my photos. And the names are messed up too!
Well, yeah but unfortunately, big apple is to be blamed for this. When you add a photo from library, iOS doesn’t give the actual date or any other detail about the photo. Thus we have to create a custom name and use the date of transfer as creation date. If you transfer the photos wirelessly, that won’t be the case though.
This looks complicated… I want to install it to my mom’s iPad and she is not very technical.
When we say, we want to simplify your life. We really mean it. Its awesomely simple to create an album and you won’t believe how fast and easy it is. Moreover, you can create albums automatically based on EXIF/Metadata/Tags, GPS, Date Range, Ratings and so on.
Hmm, interesting… Where can I get it?
Photos to Albums works on Apple iOS as of now so you can download it from iTunes Store. We are working on the Android version and that should go live shortly.
